Pentecost 2017

Pentacost 2017 2nd

“And He breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit” (John 20:22)

Pentecost is the time when we conclude the Easter Season and celebrate the sending forth of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles. As we remember from the Bible, as soon as the apostles received the Holy Spirit, they began to proclaim God’s praises.

Pentecost reminds us that God gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to help us spread the good news about Jesus. The sending forth of the Holy Spirit marks the beginning or birthday of the Church.

Happy Birthday!

Here is a prayer you may wish to pray…

Dear Lord, we thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit.

May the Holy Spirit set our hearts on fire with love for you so that we may make your Good News heard and understood throughout our school, community, and world.
