November – The Month of Remembrance
November is very much a month of Remembrance. To start the month, we remember the Saints (November 1st) and all Souls (November 2nd). On November 11th we remember the sacrifices soldiers made to defend our freedom. Later in November we remember the Holodomor (November 25th). November is a month of remembrance.
As we remember in the month of November, we look to Jesus as the rock of our support and to bring hope to our lives. When we open our eyes to God’s graces, we will see his loving actions in our world today.
Here is a prayer you may wish to pray in this special month of remembrance.
Loving God, you made us in your divine image and likeness to live in communion with you and each other. Be with us as we remember the special events of this month. May our prayers inspire us to help move our world closer to the peace of your kingdom. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
