Welcome, Bienvenue
École St. Mary High School was built on the old St. Paul site in 1965. In the summer of 2003 a renovation and expansion took place seeing about 250% more space added, along with a refurbishing of the original structure. The new school is now a modern facility in which we are able to meet the needs of today’s learner.
Our Patron Saint:
École St. Mary School is named after Mary, the mother of Jesus. In the bible we hear the story of Mary’s conversation with the angel Gabriel. The angel tells her that God has chosen her to be the mother of the Messiah. Her response was “Here I am, the servant of the Lord, let it be with me according to your word”.
St. Mary is a great model of our faith and a companion of all believers. She accompanies us on our faith journey and guides us through the ups and downs of life by pointing to her son, Jesus.
At École St. Mary School, we strive to be like Mary in our faith and we place our trust in her. St. Mary’s feast day is December 8th and we celebrate that day with a Eucharistic celebration.

Principal’s Message:
Welcome to École St. Mary High School! We are a Catholic school dedicated to education with faith at the center of our teachings. We are a dual track English and French secondary school, and currently have the largest French high school population in the province. Our tradition of helping students attain success through strong academic and extra-curricular programming has led to imbedded values of student engagement in and out of the classroom. Moreover, we work tirelessly to build positive relationships with students and their families.
We also strive to create an inclusive culture of acceptance. While we understand that perfection is an unattainable quality, we challenge our staff and students to work towards the best versions of themselves. Thank you for the interest in our school.
Dwayne Gareau
Principal
