Welcome, Bienvenue

École St. Mary High School was built on the old St. Paul site in 1965. In the summer of 2003 a renovation and expansion took place seeing about 250% more space added, along with a refurbishing of the original structure. The new school is now a modern facility in which we are able to meet the needs of today’s learner.
Our Patron Saint:
École St. Mary School is named after Mary, the mother of Jesus. In the Bible, we hear the story of Mary’s conversation with the angel Gabriel. The angel tells her that God has chosen her to be the mother of the Messiah. Her response was “Here I am, the servant of the Lord, let it be with me according to your word”.
St. Mary is a great model of our faith and a companion of all believers. She accompanies us on our faith journey and guides us through the ups and downs of life by pointing to her son, Jesus.
At École St. Mary School, we strive to be like Mary in our faith, and we place our trust in her. St. Mary’s feast day is December 8th, and we celebrate that day with a Eucharistic celebration.

Principal’s Message:
Welcome to École St. Mary High School. As a Catholic learning community, faith is woven into all that we do. We are proud to offer both English and French programming and to serve one of the largest populations of French high school students in the province. Our long-standing commitment to strong academics, with a clear focus on students working to their full potential, and meaningful extracurricular opportunities, supports high levels of student engagement both inside and outside the classroom. Equally important, we place great value on building strong, positive relationships with our students and their families.
We are also committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. While we recognize that perfection is not attainable, we encourage our students and staff to continually strive to grow and become the best versions of themselves. Thank you for your interest in our school.
Dwayne Gareau
Principal
