We wish our students, along with their families and staff a
blessed safe summer!

As we reflect back on our previous school year, we give thanks for the many blessings bestowed upon us.  This past year we focused on hope and getting to know the story of Jesus in a deeper way.

We are already planning the next school year and our spiritual them will be Grace.  We know that grace is a simple word but its meaning is extremely rich and life giving.   Grace, in essence, is the love of God given to us in blessings that is freely given.  We cannot earn grace, rather is given out of love to us.  When we stop to appreciate the work that God is doing around us, we start to see grace at work in our world.  When we appreciate God’s graces, we can start to cooperate with the will of God to follow the greatest commandment, to love God and each other.

So as we think of summer, let us pray for fun and safe times as we enjoy the beautiful weather.  Here is an end of the year prayer that you may wish to pray.

Loving Father, we praise and thank you for the gift of this school year.
It has been a time filled with grace and blessings, with challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows.
The days have passed quickly, O Lord.
Give us the rest and refreshment we need this summer.
Watch over us in the weeks of rest ahead and guide each day as you have done this past year.
Help us return to school with a new spirit and a new energy as we embrace the theme of Grace.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
