St. John Community School

Welcome

We are a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 Catholic Community School, working with the parish and home to ensure the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical growth of our students, which takes place in a caring Catholic environment.

Students, parents, and community members are encouraged to share their gifts and talents within the school to make it the best it can possibly be. By living and practicing the ideals of our school motto, “Working Together, We’re Better”, we are able to meet the needs of our students and families in our warm and caring environment.

Our Patron Saint:

St. John was one of the first disciples to be called by Jesus and was present with him during some of the most important events in Jesus’ life.  For example, John was with Jesus during many miracles; the Transformation, the Last Supper, and when Jesus was dying on the cross.

St John had a great passion for God’s message.  After the Resurrection, John made it his mission to promote and live the faith wherever he went.  He wrote many things that help us to understand the faith and recognize that Jesus Christ is the saviour that we should turn to in life.

At St. John Community School, we look to Jesus as our hope in life.  St. John’s feast day is December 27th and during the month of December we remember and honour him. We are truly blessed to have St. John the Evangelist watching over our school.

Welcome to St. John Community School!

It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year. I am truly honoured to serve the St. John community and to be part of a school community that is rooted in faith, connection, and a strong commitment to student success.

At St. John Community School, we are proud to partner with our families, parish, and community to create a nurturing environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow. Our Catholic faith is central to all that we do, and this year’s theme, “Christus Vivit! Christ is Alive: He listens to us!” reminds us that Christ walks with us each day, guiding us to live with kindness, compassion, and respect. Together, we are committed to nurturing the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of every child.

Our staff is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences and helping each student reach their full potential. I look forward to building strong relationships and celebrating a year of growth together.
