Welcome to the Roman Catholic Separate School Division of Prince Albert.

This year, our school division embarks on a truly special journey as we celebrate 140 years of Catholic education in Prince Albert (1887–2027). This milestone is much more than a reflection on our history; it is a celebration of our faith, learning, and service that continues to shape our Catholic educational community and inspire the future.

For 140 years, Catholic education in Prince Albert has been grounded in the belief that every child is created in the image of God and blessed with unique gifts. Generations of students, families, educators, clergy, religious, and community members have contributed to a strong tradition that has nurtured faith, fostered hope, and prepared young people to lead lives of purpose and compassion.

As we celebrate this historic anniversary, we also look ahead with renewed purpose through our new four-year strategic plan, Christ is Alive! Christus Vivit! Inspired by the Holy Father’s apostolic exhortation to young people and to all the People of God, this theme reminds us that Christ is living and active among us, calling each child to discover their God-given dignity, gifts, and mission. It shapes our vision for Catholic education by challenging us to create communities where every student encounters Christ, experiences belonging, and is inspired to live with hope, courage, and joy.

Catholic education has always been about more than academic achievement. It is about forming hearts and minds, cultivating hope, and nurturing a deep sense of purpose. We are called to be communities that reflect the love of Christ—communities where relationships matter, diversity is celebrated, and every individual is encouraged to become the person God created them to be.

May this anniversary year remind us that we are part of something greater than ourselves—a faith-filled tradition that has endured for 140 years and, by God’s grace, will continue to inspire generations to come. Guided by our vision of Learning for Life through Catholic Education, as we celebrate Christ is Alive! Christus Vivit!

May we continue to ensure that every child comes to know that they are deeply loved by God, called to greatness, and entrusted with the responsibility of bringing hope to the world.

Thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey and for your continued commitment to Catholic education in Prince Albert
