The Prince Albert Catholic School Division has approximately 3200 students in six elementary and one high school. The Division employs approximately 350 teaching, service and support staff.

In addition to offering the provincial core curriculum in each of our schools, we offer a Catholic religious education program from Prekindergarten to Grade 12 and we also offer band from Grades 5 – 12.

At the high school level we offer a number of options, such as: Practical and Applied Arts, Drama, Communication Production Technology, Cree, Graphic Arts, Music, Wildlife Management, to name a few.

Although the Prince Albert Catholic School Division is large enough to offer such a rich and expanded curricular and extra-curricular program, we are small enough to be able to maintain that sense of “family” in each of our schools and our entire school division.

As a “family” we learn together, have fun together, and support each other. We strive to build a strong sense of community and fellowship, fuelled by our common faith that makes the atmosphere of our schools welcoming and nurturing.

Tax Designation

Catholic Taxes…DID YOU KNOW?  The Prince Albert Catholic School Division operates on funds received from local property taxation and provincial government grants.

To ensure your property taxes are supporting your Catholic Separate School Division, you must declare your school support as “Separate” on your Annual Property Assessment Notice and Tax Bill.  If a declaration of school support is not filled in by a property owner, the property assessment and tax bills show the school support as defaulting to the public school system.  DECLARE YOUR SUPPORT FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS by completing a School Support Declaration Form available from Prince Albert City Hall or www.citypa.ca or your Rural Municipality office.

If you require information or assistance regarding any aspect of school taxes, please contact our Chief Financial Officer at 953-7500.
