Despite all efforts, the first day of school for St. Francis students will be delayed until Thursday, September 5, 2019. Crews ranging from electrical, reclamation, and plumbing, have worked feverishly to remedy the issues and water damaged areas following the water main break discovered August 26, 2019.
The entire mechanical room and gym were significantly impacted by the water main break. The repairs have been delayed due to the late arrival of some key electrical components. School is scheduled to start on Thursday, September 5, 2019.
The Board of Education and school division staff regret this further delay and greatly appreciate the patience and continued support of all students, families, and neighbors during restoration.
Every attempt is being made to directly contact families.We look forward to welcoming students back to school.
