 Dear Parents and Students,

Re: Prince Albert Roman Catholic School Division Return to School Fall 2020 Plan

We hope everyone is enjoying the warmth of the summer sun! With school approximately a month away, and the first day of classes being September 1st, 2020, this information is intended to update parents and students with some of the details you will need to know or may want to know before the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

On Thursday, June 18th, 2020, under the direction of Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer, and with the help of the provincial education Response Planning Team (RPT), the Ministry of Education announced the Primary and Secondary Educational Institution Guidelines for the return to classroom learning.

The health and safety of our students, staff and families, while providing quality Catholic education, is our top priority. Today, the Return to School Plan Fall 2020, our school division’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan,  will be posted on our website:

  1.  The Return to School Plan Fall 2020 – August 1, 2020
  2. Quick Reference Information for Students and Parents

It will be important for students, staff and parents to understand and follow our school division’s procedures which are aligned with  the Primary and Secondary Educational Institutional Guidelines as well as understand the  Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan as provided by Government of Saskatchewan (found on Saskatchewan.ca/COVID-19 website).

While a return to in-class learning is the goal for this upcoming fall, the RPT and our school division will continually be working to ensure contingency plans are in place in the event of elevated risk. Division plans will evolve as required by emerging health risk assessments.

Please be assured the Ministry of Education, the Response Planning Team, the Chief Medical Health Officer, our local Medical Officer and school division staff are working diligently to have the return to the classroom this fall occur in a safe yet comfortable environment for both students and school staff.

We invite you to be informed of the developments by familiarizing yourself with the Saskatchwean.ca/covid website and by reading the highlights of information provided.

Stay Safe and God bless.

L. Trumier,
Director of Education
