Dear Parents/Guardians, Students, and Staff,
Today, the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) has announced for our school division:

- Job action for Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22, 2024 to include “provincewide withdrawal of all extracurricular activities, including before school, during the lunch hour, after school and the evening”
Please ensure that you monitor Edsby notifications and our school division website, www.pacsd.ca for possible further announcements.
Here is the week at a glance for March 18 to March 22, 2024:
Wednesday, March 20, 2024 – Sanctions include a “provincewide strike by all members of the STF. All Federation members will withdraw all professional and voluntary services for the entire day”.
- No school for all students.
Thursday , March 21 and Friday, March 22, 2024 – Sanctions include provincewide withdrawal of all extracurricular activities, including before school, during the lunch hour, after school and the evening
- Cancellation of all school-led extracurricular events and other school division events (for example and not limited to school sports, school clubs, performing arts, graduation preparations, open houses, etc.).
- The elementary band will operate as regularly scheduled.
- High School classes scheduled outside of school hours will occur as regularly scheduled.
- Reminder to all students and parents, schools will only be open 15 minutes before the instructional day begins and closed 15 minutes after the instructional day ends. Parents/Guardians, please ensure your child(ren) does not arrive early or remain late.
The STF and the Government of Saskatchewan/Saskatchewan School Boards Association Provincial bargaining has not resulted in a new collective agreement for all teachers in Saskatchewan. The Board of Education for Prince Albert Catholic Schools hopes a fair, just, and reasonable collective agreement can be realized. If you have any questions, call (306) 953-7500 or contact schools for school-based information.
Sincerely,
L.Trumier
Director of Education
