Prince Albert Catholic School Division Celebrates Catholic Education Week and Announces Recipients of the Catholic Education Service Award for the 2025-2026 School Year!
Prince Albert – May 4, 2026- The Prince Albert Roman Catholic Separate School Division Board of Education is proud to announce the 2025-2026 recipients of the Catholic Education Service Award!
Prince Albert Roman Catholic Separate School Division is celebrating Catholic Education Week (May 10 to May 17, 2026), recognizing the richness and inclusivity of Catholic education.
With the theme “Pilgrims of Hope: On the Path to Holiness ” this annual event highlights the strength of unity in diversity within the Catholic educational community. The theme recognizes that our actions demonstrate we are pilgrims of hope.
A special focus for each day, we will celebrate the work we are called to do with each other:
Monday: Peace be with you/ La paix soit avec vous
Tuesday: God loves you / Dieu vous aime.
Wednesday: Christ saves you/ Le Christ vous sauve
Thursday: The Holy Spirit lives in you/ L’Esprit Saint demeure en vous
Friday: Together on the journey/ Ensemble sur le chemin
Catholic Education Week is marked by special activities such as prayer, celebrations, and classroom activities. On Thursday, May 14 (World Catholic Education Day), Catholic Schools in the province will mark the day with a Liturgy of the Word.
Catholic Education Week serves as an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the contributions made by students, parents, teachers, and staff to the Catholic education system. It emphasizes the values, teachings, and traditions that shape students’ academic, spiritual, and personal development.
Catholic Education Week is an occasion to celebrate the achievements and successes within the Catholic education system and an opportunity to reflect on its essential role in shaping students’ lives. It is also time to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of educators and staff who are dedicated and passionate about Catholic Education.
The Board of Education established the Catholic Education Service Award in 1998 to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to Catholic Education in Prince Albert. The recipients have been nominated because of their contributions to Catholic Education and their faith community. The Board is confident that you will agree that these faithful and dedicated individuals have positively impacted our Catholic Educational community, our school division, and the schools they have worked in.
