Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Temporary One-Year Educational Consultant Position

Consultant of Student Achievement  2026 – 2027

Prince Albert Catholic Schools invites applications for a full-time, temporary one-year Educational Consultant.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior administration, school-based administrators, school-based student support services, and teachers at St. John Community School and St. Michael Community School, to support the the specialized support classroom project. The Consultant will work to assist teachers and other staff by selecting, planning and demonstrating techniques and supportive strategies for the project. The Consultant will be assigned other duties to support other related deliverables (planning, organizing, teaching, professional development sessions and preparations for program start-up). The Consultant will also be required to provide support in reading, writing, and math as it pertains to Ministry/School division targets. The Consultant will work under the supervision of the Superintendent of Education responsible for Student Support Services.

Collaboration from time to time with Coordinators and Consultants and other School Division staff may be required. This role is also responsible for planning professional development activities and supporting school-based personnel in the relevant use of resources and procedures.

The Educational Consultant, in cooperation with other system personnel, shall support the aims and objectives of Catholic Education generally and the Prince Albert Roman Catholic Separate School Division #6 specifically.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Demonstrate an understanding and use of current instructional and assessment best practices
  • Demonstrate understanding in strategies for specialized supports for classroom implementation
  • Be a servant leader who demonstrates outstanding leadership abilities commensurate with the position responsibilities and evidenced by performance in past or present educational assignments
  • Have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Previous related experience an asset
